Item Description

Ilvaite is an uncommon species from the historic silver mines at Taxco and is known only from the Remedios Mine. Lustrous, sharp, jet-black prisms, nearly all with chisel terminations, totally cover the massive ilvaite matrix on this very rich and showy specimen. Ex Marty Zinn and Dave Stoudt Collection. Very seldom on the market in this high quality. Valued at least $500, nearly what he paid for it from the Zinn Collection dispersal many years ago.
