Sharply terminated, jet-black, ilvaite crystals are aesthetically scattered on this large plate covered with quartz crystals, many of which are beta-style crystals. The largest crystal is 2.5 cm. The underlying matrix is lustrous, light brown, bladed hedenbergite crystal sprays. In great shape overall, with just one broken ilvaite in the interior and a bit of periphery wear. Dal'negorsk ilvaites are some of the worlds finest and this is an excellent combination example. Uncommon in this quality today. Valued at $1250-1500.
