A choice and very showy, three-dimensional specimen of Ilvaite on "blue" Quartz from the classic locality at Dal'negorsk. A 3.7 cm sharp, jet-black, lustrous prismatic crystal is the key focal point on this significant specimen which is nestled among slightly bluish colored Quartz crystals. Blue is easily the rarest color for Quartz, and while this isn't a true blue, it has a blue hue to it.. Very little damage (the secondary Ilvaite in contacted), and very attractive all the way around. How often do you find Ilvaite in good display quality specimens, on ? No repairs either!
