Ilmenite specimens are very uncommon from the Erongos and an ilmenite and schorl combination is RARE. Impressive, pristine, large, sharp, parallel-growth terminated tabular crystals with rounded edges and an oxide coating are attached to a section of another ilmenite crystal. Sections of splendent jet-black schorl crystals are noted on one side of the piece and moreso on the base, where sharp, well-formed crystals to 2.2 cm are noted.
