Item Description
Ilmenite crystals of this fine quality are quite rare from the well-known Russian Type Locality. This sharp, trigonal, tabular, splendent, jet-black thumbnail crystal is from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The crystal is in great shape, front and back, and the bit of feldspar is a nice accent. The old paper label glued to the side of the crystal says Miask. Herb valued this at $200, five or more years ago.
