Ilmenite on Albite

Item Description

A wonderful "Alpine type" specimen featuring very lustrous, metallic grey color, radiating, "rosette"-esque groups of Ilmenite on contrasting white to colorless gem quality crystallized Albite matrix with minor green twinned crystals of Titanite. The quality is great, especially in the Albites on the REVERSE side of the specimen, as they are broad blades with excellent gemminess and fine crystallization. Minimal damage, and certainly fine for the species in general. The largest Ilmenite "rosette" measures 1.1 cm across.
