IKONS: The Beauty of Fine Minerals - All authors signed, advance copy

This is a surprise preview for the mineral world! This is our first announcement that there will be a new book called "IKONS: The Beauty of Fine Minerals", coming to market in January of 2024, and distributed exclusively through The Mineralogical Record. Literally years in the making, this book will be a continuation of the ideas put forward in Wayne Thompson's groundbreaking book from 2007, IKONS. IKONS helped to take the mineral world up a level, and show a consistency of fine aesthetics and importance in minerals that became the standard reference for a large part of the higher-value end of the mineral market ever since. This is a giant-sized and large-format art-style, hardcover-only book of approximately 480 pages, that will be printed in limited quantity. The massive compilation of hundreds of fine minerals (some famous, and some new to viewers), showing some of the finest examples that we know of, will be the largest assemblage of true quality and value ever put into one place, with thousands of hours invested in the gathering, photography, and design of the book. We cannot say more than this, but it will be a very special book, literally a life and legacy project for all of us involved who share Wayne's dream to bring Fine Minerals out into a larger world. We are offering up one of Rob’s co-author copies, which will be signed by all authors, and of which few will exist. (Rob will personally get the signatures of all other co-authors , including Wayne, and get this delivered to the winner in February of 2024.)
