Item Description
Striking, mammillary, hydrozincite aggregates cover this showy mounded, very light weight specimen of essentially solid hydrozincite. The variable oxide tinting adds much character to the snow-white mineral. Material from this mine is very seldom on the market. Ghostly white fluorescence. Ex Sorbonne Museum Collection and probably dates from the 1950 to early 1970s.
