Item Description

Hydrozincite forms in the oxidation zones of zinc deposits as masses or crusts. This is a very rich specimen from Mina Ojuela that is actually quite attractive, with a rich coating of little snowy balls of the mineral filling vugs in the 3-dimensional, vuggy matrix of limonite. Specimens of this quality and richness date from about 1960 to 1970. Ex Consie Prince Collection. Nice fluorescence!
