Item Description

A rare and outstanding combination specimen from this well-known Oxford County pegmatite, opened in 1931. Glassy, sharp, colorless hydroxylherderite crystals to 5 mm are aesthetically scattered on the very rare, doubly terminated, citrine quartz scepter with fine yellow color and the striking skirt of matrix. Both citrine terminations have well-developed phantoms, which is very unusual and rare. The hydroxlherderites fluoresce a light yellow. Choice and very rare combination material from the Schlichter Collection.
