The Corrego Frio pegmatite is one of Brazil's most classic localities and is the Type Locality for brazilianite. This is a classic, stout, pseudo-hexagonal prismatic hydroxlherderite crystal. The complete all-around and pristine crystal is well-terminated, lustrous, translucent to opaque and has variable tan to gray color. A classic and excellent crystal from this renowned locale. Previously misidentified as herderite. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
