Item Description
A new find for this famous old gem district. I think most people would agree that the most desirable color for Herderite (more properly Hydroxylherderite) is purple. This piece features a sharp, lustrous, well-formed, euhedral monoclinic prism of soft purple Hydroxylherderite measuring 2.3 cm with greenish-yellow Muscovite and Albite. A few accenting Hydroxylherderites make for a great touch. A cool gem crystal specimen of a species that is not often found in well-formed examples with a rare color.
