Item Description
A new find for this famous old gem district. I think most people would agree that the most desirable color for Herderite (more properly Hydroxylherderite) is purple. This piece features fairly sharp, well-formed, semi-lustrous, euhedral monoclinic crystals of purple Hydroxylherderite with minor greenish-yellow Muscovite. A cool gem crystal specimen of a species that is not often found in well-formed examples with a rare color. The largest crystal measures 2.4 cm.
