Item Description

An exceptionally sharp, pristine, 3.4 cm, partially doubly terminated, textbook hexagonal, milky hydroxylapatite crystal with waxy luster faces and an interesting modified pinacoidal termination from this classic Norwegian locale. The crystal is very aesthetically set on the sculptural matrix of albite crystals and hydroxylapatite crystal sections. Very sharp crystals, such as this, are uncommon, according to MINDAT. Easily 100 years old or older. Formerly in the Joe Cilen Collection #14775. Joe was a well-known New Jersey collector who accumulated an over 23,000-piece collection. He passed away in 1997.
