This famous 1967 find produced the finest US apophyllites. Lustrous, translucent, colorless to lightly oxide tinted blocky crystals of hydroxyapophyllite-(K), to 1.5 cm, are aesthetically scattered and clustered on the basalt matrix partially covered with glassy, drusy, mint-green prehnite. The blocky crystal at the top has a contacted edge, but no damage. A showy, excellent and classic combination of the species and famous find. Seldom on the market.
