Item Description

Classic and excellent, rarely available hydroxyapophyllite from the 1967 find at this famous Trap Rock Quarry that has produced the finest US apophyllites. This aesthetic small cabinet features a typical parallel-growth cluster of wedge-shaped, pearlescent, translucent, two-toned, blocky layered crystals. See the 1972 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 3, No. 4. A very fine example of the species and famous find. Valued at $1000-plus, from the old collections of Dick Hauck.
