Item Description
Classic, rich and rare large urban New York City specimen of Artinite and Hydromagnesite from the serpentine deposits of Staten Island. Beautiful snow-white and creamy radial sprays of chatoyant Artinite needles, to 1.5 cm, are scattered on the rich covering of tufts of tiny Hydromagnesite blades. Ex Richard Rossi Collection. Richard is a Senior Fellow of the Mineralogical Record. A very fine and rich older combination of these classic urban NYC species.
