Item Description

Mineral specimens from this major extinct fluorite mine (closed 1937) are EXTREMELY RARE and well-crystallized quartz, itself, is very uncommon from Hardin County. This large, super combination old-timer is classic for the many glassy, sharply terminated crystals, to 1.5 cm, are richly included with hydrocarbons! The matrix plate consists of grape-purple fluorite. The quartz fluoresces straw-yellow and the fluorite purple. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 1991 and purchased in 1994. Previously in the Dick Heck Collection. Value of this unique combination rarity?? We believe $1250-1500 is very fair.
