Item Description

Hydroboracite is a rare hydrated borate. A 1.9 cm diverging spray of parallel-growth, waxy luster blades with more nearby crystals is aesthetically set in matrix on this very fine specimen. Old material from Death Valley and uncommon from this noted and extinct locale. Very rarely crystallized in such quality as you see here. The back has bee sawed to enhance the display quality. An outstanding miniature specimen, self-collected by Al Ordway in 1972.
