Item Description
Hyalophane is a rare intermediate member of the celsian-orthoclase series of the Feldspar Group. This choice miniature is from this obscure, small locality, that has produced the world's finest examples of the species. This is a striking, 360-degree mound of of gemmy, twinned and untwinned crystals. In great shape, overall, the base and top are contacted and there is just a bit of very trivial bruising. Very hard to tell with the glassiness and gemminess of the crystals. See the 1996 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 27, No. 5. Seldom on the market.
