Item Description
Neon-green hyalite opal fluorescence under BOTH LW and SW UV light on this surreal looking and colorful large combination from a new 2023 find in the famous Erongo Mountains. Glassy, bubbly, yellow-green and white hyalite opal preferentially covers much of the sculptural matrix, that includes isolated Schorl crystals and a dense carpet of Hematite-tinted and Smoky Quartz crystals. The contrasting, jet-black, lustrous edge schorl is 2.7 x 2.5 cm and the striking, nearby perched schorl partially enveloped by hyalite opal is 2.5 cm. Four of the five well-placed schorls are pristine, with one having a modest bit of edge wear. An exotic looking large combination specimen from the recent find.
