Hyalite Opal and Schorl with Quartz

Truly exotic looking, colorful and sculptural large combination from a new 2023 find in the Erongo Mountains. Captivating green-yellow Hyalite Opal richly and preferentially covers much of the elongated specimen of Schorl and Smoky Quartz crystals. The dramatically contrasting splendent, striated to smooth-faced, jet-black schorls are dominated by the impressive, 3.6 x 3.5 cm, centrally placed schorl. Nearly pristine, a contact at the top of the large schorl, where another crystal once lay, has only minimal bruising to the adjacent, much smaller schorl. Neon-green hyalite opal under BOTH LW and SW UV light! A surreal looking large specimen from the recent find.
