Item Description

Hutchinsonite is a rare thallium-lead-arsenic sulfosalt. Brilliant, metallic, striated, vermillion-scarlet lathes to a large for the locality and species, 8 mm, are richly and attractively concentrated on the front of the dense sulfide matrix. Collected in the late 1970s and early 1980s from the Quiruvilca Mine, these are considered to be the worlds finest examples of this very rare species. Choice and rich material. The multiple presentation views enhance this excellent specimen.
