Item Description
The finest specimens of this rare Thallium, Lead, Arsenic sulfosalt come from this mine, and this piece is no exception as it has some fine quality crystals. The species is named after Dr. Arthur Hutchinson (1866-1937), who was a mineralogy professor at Cambridge. The piece hosts individual crystals and crystal "sprays" of sharp, metallic, lustrous Hutchinsonite measuring up to 4 mm which are associated with orange "bursts" of Orpiment on matrix. It is a good quality Hutchinsonite specimen, and seldom seen on the market today as the majority of the good pieces came out around 35 years ago.
