Item Description
Hutchinsonite is a very rare thallium sulfosalt, with the best examples in the world coming from this famous mine. Radiating clusters of lustrous, red to black prisms, to 7 mm, are scattered on the front and one end with a few on the back of the rolling mounded sphalerite matrix covered with a crust of matte-gray native arsenic with brassy pyrite. Blebs of reddish-orange orpiment are also noted, which adds color and pizzazz. These are fairly large hutchinsonites for the species. This is excelllent, RARE, older combination material from the 1970s or early 80s finds. Very seldom on the market in this style and combination.
