Hureaulite with Rockbridgeite and Reddingite

Item Description

A beautiful miniature sized specimen of this rare phosphate species. Hureaulite dates back to 1825 and was named after the type locality, a village in France named Hureaux. This beautiful manganese phosphate is most notably found at the Jocão Claim in Brazil. The glowing electric orange-pink color, large (most other Hureaulites are micro crystals from various localities around the world) crystals are the standard for the species at this locality. This specimen hosts many sharp, lustrous, translucent, vibrant orange-pink colored monoclinic crystals of Hureaulite sitting associated with nearly black colored Rockbridgeite and minor Reddingite. The largest Hureaulite crystal measures 5 mm long, Only minor damage that I can find. A very attractive, three-dimensional and high quality specimen of this hard to find material, from the best location for the in terms of the size, quality and color of the crystals.
