Item Description
A really fine quality small cabinet display specimen of the rare phosphate Hureaulite from the famous Jocao Pegmatite locality in Brazil. A gorgeous group of sharp, lustrous, gemmy, intense orange-pink colored crystals are intergrown to form a pair of semi-radiating groups which are sitting against the contrasting nearly black colored Rockbridgeite matrix. The total diameter of the Hureaulite groups together is 3.2 cm across. Nearly every crystal is pristine and looks fantastic up close. I love how the Hureaulite grades from that fiery orange-pink hue on the left side to the bit more subdued hue with minor inclusions of Rockbridgeite under the surface on the right side. One rarely see this MUCH Hureaulite together on one specimen, let alone a big group of fine quality crystals set beautifully atop the piece. If you collect phosphates, Brazilian minerals, or you just want a superb display piece of this very hard to find material, don't miss out on this one. Priced at $2,500 in the inventory.
