Item Description

A rich and beautiful specimen of the Manganese / Iron phosphate Hureaulite from Brazil. Dozens if not hundreds of sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich pinkish-orange to brownish-pink monoclinic crystals densely packed together on matrix. Good matrix display specimens of this material are not available on the market from virtually any world locality. This species was named by Franuois Alluaud in 1826 the type locality, the village of Hureaux ("Hureaux"), Haute Vienne, France.
