A huge, thin tabular, wulfenite crystal from Los Lamentos. This striking, translucent, piece has rich butterscotch color. One side is much more lustrous, than the other. The crystal itself, is only 3 mm thick. Amazingly, this piece is essentially pristine. All of the edges are damage-free and the contacting at the base is just what it is, contacting where it attached to a growth point. THIS IS AN AMAZING, IMPORTANT CRYSTAL! Rarely will you see a Los Lamentos wulfenite in this size and quality with no damage. Old-time material, probably from the 1960s or early 70s, as it comes with a Filer's label dating from about 1970.
