A spectacular and huge stibiconite pseudomorph after stibnite from the Bob Whitmore Collection. This monster just oozes size. It is one of the largest intact specimens of this classic we have seen. The pure stibiconite forms white patches on the pseudo. These are not the most beautiful of mineral specimens, but this one deserves respect as a CLASSIC, OLD-TIMER from Real de Catorce. RARELY available in this quality and size. The termination is pristine. Edgewear is noted lower on one side, as is modest contacting in this area. This remains a very significant, large specimen of the species and noted locale. Valued at $1500-2000.
