A sharp, huge, 6.2 x 4.1 cm, lustrous, tan, scapolite crystal is aesthetically attached to a sculptural, CABINET, matrix of pyroxene and smaller scapolites on this very rare, old-timer from a classic New York locale - Pierrepont. The upper end is contacted, but this has essentially no impact on the importance of this historic New York piece. Almost never on the market in this quality and size. Actually, it may be unique for the locality - we have never seen such for sale is all I can say. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection and comes with an old paper label glued to the back.
