A huge, spectacular, wedge-shaped plate covered with glassy, hematite-tinted, quartz crystals from the Orange River of Namibia. The striking and beautiful, sharply terminated, translucent quartz crystals, to 6.0 cm, feature light rose-colored prism faces and much darker and richer, reddish-brown terminations. The color contrasts along with the steep triangular shape of the specimen makes this very dramatic. Specimens of this size and quality are very uncommon from the Orange River. Essentially pristine, amazing for such a large and densely covered specimen, with only one gently bruised termination. Ex. Charlie Key personal collection of Orange River quartzesk.
