Item Description
Wow! A huge vivid pink, gem fluorite cleavage octahedron from Pakistan! This highly lustrous, glassy specimen is totally limpid. The pink color is MUCH RICHER, than the photos show! Just imagine what the large vein or pod of fluorite must have looked like in the pegmatite! They find these, as they did in old Illinois mines, and cut/trim them along the natural cleavage planes to make these beautiful octohedra for decoration and display. Minimal corner bruising is noted on this very rare and fabulous specimen. We have never seen anything like it in this size and gemminess from Chumar Bakhoor. Purple fluorescence. 1127 grams or 2.5 pounds mass. This has cutting rough potential. Value?
