Huge Olmiite boot

A stunning, HUGE, olmiite in shape and nearly size of a large "boot" from the NEW, Fall 2008 find at the famous Nchwaning II Mine of South Africa. The sculptural, aptly-named monster is covered with highly lustrous, flesh-colored, clusters of elongated orthorhombic crystals. This is, by far, the largest sculptural olmiite specimen we have offered at auction and is certainly of the quality that qualifies for the Gallery. A modest bit of periphery wear is noted, but certainly has minimal impact to the overall quality of this giant piece. Olmiite was formerly known as poldervaartite, prior to recent extensive testing. We wanted to give our auction customers an opportunity to obtain a significant large olmiite specimen.
