Mineral specimens of ANY species are VERY RARE from this obscure Quebec area. This is a HUGE and impresssive, very sharp well-formed microcline crystal. The sharply and unusually terminated mottled orangey-pink crystal has complex form, with every side having a distinctively different perspective. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. One side has a contact, where another crystal once lay, but there is little actual damage. The attachment is at the base. This is a RARE and important large microcline from Quebec. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection. It was valued at $900 by him in a large trade 6-8 years ago. Value today is $1100-1300. 11.7 pounds or 5.3 kilos mass.
