Fantastic, huge, rare old-time sharply formed Manebach-twinned amazonite crystal from the less well-known pegmatites of Harris Park, Park County. The twin planes are most dramatic on this complete all-around moderately lustrous pale yellow-green amazonite crystal with iron oxide tinting. We feel very lucky to have picked up the large collection of Bill and Anne Cook of Cleveland, recently. It is a tribute to their long efforts, how many interesting minerals and old localities were preserved and carefully labelled so you can see them now. Bill and Anne collected for at least 60 years. Dating to circa 1972, this is a VERY RARE large old-timer! A MUST for the species or Colorado collector. Value?? We have never seen another of this quality and size from the locale. Mass is 3442 grams or 7.6 pounds.
