Item Description

Cuprite variety Chalcotrichite specimens are RARE compared to cuprite specimens from fabled Tsumeb. Rich mats of tiny bright red gemmy needles are richly and dramatically scattered on the sculptural vuggy quartz-rich 360-degree specimen. While copper is common as ore at Tsumeb, these kinds of copper minerals for collectors are extremely uncommon. This is one of richest examples of this species we have seen, and is a large display specimen as well. Valued at $1750-2250.
