Item Description
A HUGE, CABINET-SIZED, complexly crystallized, SUPER GEMMY, cognac-colored topaz crystal beautifully accented with a 3.7 cm schorl and bladed cleavelandite from recent finds in the Shigar Valley of Pakistan. This would be a MAJOR topaz, if perfect, and would be offered at over $10,000. There is a 3.0 cm conchoidal fracture, however, on one side- but it is very hard to see in the photos, and frankly not immediately obvious in person either from a distance, due to the super gemminess. The ding is on the same side as the schorl termination and there is bruising to the cleavelandite around the schorl. Irregardless, this is a major, monster, gemmy topaz crystal with lots of cutting rough and IT DOES display really well. 586 grams or nearly 1.3 pounds! Valued at $1500
