Item Description
Lustrous, translucent, pretty purple, fluorite cubes, to 2.8 cm, have scintillating, dense stepped-growth faces on this huge impressive plate from the famed Elmwood Mine. Dark purple radiation spots in all of the cubes and scattered tiny, gemmy, rubyjack sphalerites add pizzazz. The underlying matrix is rubyjack sphalerite. The interior is in great shape, considering the size and weight, with only few small corner bruises noted. The periphery wear along the bottom certainly has minimal impact to the overall excellent quality of this dramatic large plate. Purple fluorescence. Choice older material from the Consie Prince Collection. 11.7 pounds or 5.3 kilos mass. Fairly valued at $3000-4000.
