Item Description
A spectacular, huge, floater cluster of barite "rose" blades from Oklahoma. These classic Oklahoma specimens formed in the Permian-aged Garber Sandstone and the sand grains are included in the barite crystal structure. The "petals" in this two-sided monster are up to 11.4 cm wide. It is noted, that there appears to be five partially broken petals and there is just a bit of scuffing on a few of the petal edges. Irregardless, this is an incredibly dramatic and aesthetic large specimen. Ex Cassius L. Tillman III Collection. 5.3 pounds of 2.4 kilos....one of the biggest we have seen!
