Huge Copper with Malachite & Cuprite (Madrid Coll.) - 1.3 kilo

A stunning, large and colorful, two-sided, arborescent fan-shaped copper specimen from the Itauz Mine and the Madrid Collection. Rich forest-green malchite covers most of the piece. The sharp, very bright copper crystals on the "front" are tetrahexahedrons in the overall spinel-twinned dentrictic form. Contacting, with very little damage, exposed these bright crystals, which really adds dramatic pizzazz and color contrast to this piece. Much of the back has a light coating of deep wine-red cuprite. A very impressive and uncommon large two-sided piece. 2.9 pounds or 1.3 kilos mass. Valued at $2500.
