A HUGE, water-clear, glassy, deep smoky quartz crystal from the famed Alpine clefts of Graubunden. It is CLASSIC! This pseudohexagonal monster is complete all-around and has top smoky color - not too dark or too light. The termination faces are preferentially pitted and (lightly) coated with chlorite, which adds a bit of contrast and confirms locality. There is only faint and frankly trivial termination edgewear, for such a large piece, in context. Contacting (where it grew attached to other crystals) points are noted at the bottom, but in reality there is almost no damage per se to this piece.
