Huge Chalcedony stalactites (2010 find)

Stunning huge parallel-growth, multi-hued and multi-layered, translucent and nubby chalcedony stalactites from a 2010 find in Java, Indonesia. Two stalactites dramatically merge and are strikingly accented by the large red splotch on one side! The preferential secondary gray chalcedony overgrowths add much character and contrast to this amazing large 360-degree specimen. The large stalactite is pristine. This dramatic large piece contacted both the base and roof of the cave as the ends reveal the hollow tubes, where the silica-rich solutions flowed to form the stalactites. This one has colors from tan to red. Pristine. Dramatic, colorful and unusual very large material from an exotic locale for mineral specimens!
