Item Description

This is a very attractive association specimen from one of the most famous classic Peruvian localities. Bladed, sharp, lustrous, prismatic, crystals of Hubnerite measuring up to 3.5 cm are associated with gemmy, sharp, lustrous, white / colorless, prismatic Quartz crystals. If you look on the back of the piece, there is a very interesting, unique Quartz formation, where the crystals are intergrown and suspended in a way that is unlike anything I've seen for the locality. With good backlighting, you can see the highly sought after internal blood red color of the Hubnerite crystals, which are actually quite gemmy in areas! These crystals have not been seen with much frequency in years, and they are among the finest Hubnerites ever found.
