Hubnerite with Quartz (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

This is a very attractive association specimen from one of the most famous classic Peruvian localities. There are several sharp, elongated, semi-lustrous, tabular crystals of Hubnerite beautifully assocaited with slender, colorless Quartz crystals forming an attractive "lengthy" specimen. The Hubnerite crystals show deep red internal hue when backlit, which is not common for the species, and the piece displays well from several angles. This specimen is over 40 years old, and good ones like this are rarely seen on the market. Valued at $1400.
