Hubnerite with Quartz

Item Description

A very attractive combination miniature from this classic Peruvian locality. The front of the parallel-growth cluster of lustrous, striated, hubnerite blades is partially covered with glassy quartz points having a drusy quartz overgrowth, whereas the back shows the hubnerite blades in all of their glory. The hubnerites are terminated, with just a bit of contacting. Bright light reveals the typical areas of red translucence, indicative of hubnerite. Complete all-around and excellent material from this noted locale.
