Hubnerite with Quartz

Here is a classic cluster of stout, super lustrous Hubnerite crystals from Pasto Bueno, Peru! At least two dozen, reddish brown, bladed prismatic Hubnerite crystals make up this cluster and they exhibit striations along their length with all of them having wedge-shaped terminations. Even ambient lighting reveals their reddish color, especially along the edges of the crystals! They range in length from 2.5 to 5 cm and the largest one is 3 cm across! The Hubnerites are beautifully accented by numerous, sparkling, needle Quartz crystals from a few millimeters up to 1.5 cm in length. The bright Hubnerite crystals are in a slightly divergent group with the Quartz crystals attractively scattered on and between the Hubnerite crystals. It is a robust and aesthetic piece that looks good all the way around and is in excellent condition. Finds like this were found in the 1970s, mid 1980s, and some few again more recently - this would be older.
