Hubnerite (superb thumbnail)

Item Description

Superb pair of thick, intergrown hubnerite crystals from the classic Pasto Bueno Region of Peru: Each crystal is about 1.6 cm tall and about 1 cm thick, with excellent luster and a deep reddish-black color. Backlighting will produce a black cherry color to the edges. There is some contacting along the lower back and bottom, but the striated faces on the presentation side are pretty much pristine.
