Item Description

A dramatic, 4.5 cm tall x 4.4 cm wide x 1.3 cm cluster of highly lustrous, parallel-growth hubnerite blades is aesthetically set on the sculptural large mounded cluster of gemmy, very glassy, light pastel-green, chlorite-included quartz points. Backlighting reveals the beautiful and classic dark red translucency on thin edges. Most of the blades in the striking cluster have sharp angled terminations, except of the large broken blade on the left side. The quartz has been excavated at the base of the tallest blades to reveal more of them. Additional hubnerites scattered among the quartz points are a fine accessory to this very showy 270-degree specimen. The Huayllapon Mine has the produced the world's finest examples of the species and this is an excellent, highly representative combination example with a broad hubnerite crystal cluster.
