Item Description
A classic and fine quality miniature of the newer Hubnerites from the Huayllapon Mine that came out in the earlys 2010s. This piece hosts several sharp, lustrous, tabular crystals of what might appear to be black Hubnerite, but when backlit you can see that some of them display intense, gemmy red interiors! The crystals remind me somewhat of Brookites from Pakistan as they have similar internal black "phantoms". Associated colorless "needle" Quartz makes for the perfect contrast against these fine quality Hubnerites, which measure up to 1.0 cm. Minimal damage, but the quality is what matters here as most Huayllapon Hubnerites from the 1970s and 1980s might show tiny areas of red color, but are not fully GEMMY like these.
